On four points separate ninth place Everton and 11th place Watford in the Premier League table. The two teams meet at Vicarage Road on Saturday with both clubs looking to move up the table.
Since Javi Garcia took over as Watford manager, the Hornets have picked up four points in their first three games. However, Watford dropped their last game 2-0 to West Ham. At Vicarage Road, Watford have picked up 16 of a possible 39 points. Abdoulaye Doucouré leads the Hornets with seven goals this season and started transfer rumors when he said that bigger English clubs were interested in signing him. While Watford have been able to score goals this season, they have been awful defending. Only Stoke have allowed more goals than the Hornets this season.
Everton bounced back from a humiliating 5-1 loss to Arsenal two weeks ago by beating Crystal Palace 3-1. Oumar Niasse scored his seventh of the season, while Gylfi Sigurdsson scored his fourth. Sigurdsson struggled the first half of the season after his big money move from Swansea but the Iceland international has picked up his play over the last month. The win against Palace was Everton’s second in their last three games. However, the club has only picked up seven points in their last seven games. Away from Goodison Park this season, the Toffees have been awful, winning only one of their 13 away games. Overall, Everton have picked up only eight points away from home of a possible 39.

After a scoreless first half, the two teams combined for five second-half goals in their first meeting. Watford were up 2-0 with less than a half hour to play but could not hold on for the win. Everton scored three times in 25 minutes, with Leighton Baines scoring from the spot to win the game in injury time.
