Bobby Lashley is returning to the WWE after time away as Impact Wrestling World Champion and MMA competition in Bellator, Strikeforce, and Titan FC.

According to a report by Brad Shepard of Bodyslam.net, Bobby Lashley has agreed to terms with the WWE. Lashley is best remembered for his involvement in the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ Hair Vs Hair stipulation between Vince McMahon and Donald Trump. They each selected a wrestler to represent them, with the loser having his head shaved. Lashley would go on to face Umaga at Wrestlemania 23 and leave the winner with McMahon having his hair buzzed off as a result.

Lashley is a former two-time ECW World Champion (the WWE iteration) and has had a strong career in TNA Impact Wrestling and MMA since leaving the WWE in 2008. He was nicknamed “Walking Armageddon” during his time in Impact Wrestling and was Brock Lesnar-like in the way he would dismantle anyone on the roster. One of his more memorable feuds came against The American Wolves’ Eddie Edwards who was the first to defeat Lashley in quite some time. Lashley continued to be booked dominantly following the loss.

His last Impact Wrestling came against Moose, and his last appearance at the company arrived at Bound for Glory. In a tag team match along with King Mo, Lashley faced Moose and Stephan Bonnar in a ‘Six Sides of Steel’ match. Lashley officially left Impact Wrestling on Jan. 14, 2018.

Lashley’s MMA Background presents Brock Lesnar feud potential

On the MMA side, he owns a 15-2 record. four wins by knockout, eight by submission, and three by decision. Lashley has spent time in Bellator, Strikeforce, Titan FC among others. The natural feud for Lashley would be against former UFC Champion Brock Lesnar. However, Brock’s contract ends on April 8, shortly after Wrestlemania 34, and there hasn’t been a firm commitment Brock will resign. Brock might decide to return to the UFC for one more run, so a potential feud with Lashley is not a certainty at this stage.

If the feud does end up taking place, it’ll likely draw big money as the feud is both believable and has a foundational background. It’s a potential match for say Summerslam if Brock does indeed stay in the WWE post-Wrestlemania 34.
