Winter Olympics closing ceremony got really weird, and it was awesome

The Closing Ceremony was the closest you can get to dropping acid and not having to worry about failing a drug test.
Let’s just get right to it: the Closing Ceremony of the Winter Olympics was one of the trippiest things ever televised. We don’t have enough fingers to count the number of ‘wait, what?’ moments we saw.
There was everything we never knew we wanted: Illuminated ice dancing panda bears, K-Pop performances against the backdrop of LED tie-dye, a laser light tiger running around. At one point, Pandas received emails from children on a mountaintop and proceeded to travel through hyperspace (maybe?) on a journey through time.
Things got weird.
We saw typical Closing Ceremony festivities take place, such as athletes riding each other’s shoulders and waving to the crowd in celebration of the games we were all glued to for the last two weeks. But a bulk featured what was basically the trippiest laser light show this side of a Pink Floyd concert.
I mean…
Not that the Olympics weren’t awesome, but we couldn’t have started with this? The Opening Ceremony was alright but in comparison to what we saw on Sunday night, we should feel a little cheated.
