Ronda Rousey puts Triple H through table at WWE Elimination Chamber

Ronda Rousey did her own version of the Bayley to belly as she suplexed Triple H through a table at her contract signing at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Ronda Rousey arrived to the ring smiling from ear to ear at WWE Elimination Chamber, as she was loving every moment. No kayfabe here, Rousey’s first ever WWE promo started off gently with the words, “Hey guys,” before speaking in a more traditional real-life sense. The moment was genuinely impacting Rousey the person, instead of Rousey the new WWE Superstar.

When the crowd suddenly broke into a “Ronda Rousey” chant, Rousey was practically in tears. Those two last UFC fights and the nonstop criticism that followed had clearly taken their toll, and for once, Rousey could relish in being loved again. It was an emotional slice of life out there in the ring.

Rousey spoke of wanting to make “Rowdy” Roddy Piper proud and how she wouldn’t be here in the WWE without him. You could tell every single word was real and unscripted, this truly as Triple H would say, “The Reality Era.” Then when Stephanie McMahon brought out the contract for her to sign, they brought her back into the storyline. Rousey noticed Kurt Angle was unhappy about something and questioned him. Angle explained how Stephanie and Triple H have been planning their revenge for three years because of what happened at WrestleMania.

Triple H went on to say Angle has been under the weather lately and dealing with the flu. He escorted Angle out of the ring as a suspicious Rousey was calmed down by Stephanie. Then Angle took the mic and with a single line, “Stephanie, didn’t you say she was a has-been now and even you could take her?”, took the contract signing to a new level.

Rousey went into what can only be described as UFC Rousey mode as she stared Stephanie down. Stephanie looked nervous as Triple H came back in the ring to separate the two and try to calm matters down. It was then the Rousey suplex on Triple H through the contract signing table happened. Stephanie responded by slapping Rousey, telling her, “Who do you think you are? You are not to ever touch my husband!”

The Las vegas crowd went into a unique NSFW chant, as you can imagine, as Stephanie realized what she had just done. Rousey then signed the WWE contract to the delight of fans. In Michael Cole’s words, “There’s no going back now! Ronda Rousey is officially part of WWE!”
