Alexa Bliss won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match and went from fan favorite babyface to 100 percent heel mode following a post-match promo.

It came down to Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks in the closing moments of the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, as Bliss won with a “face first,” in Michael Cole’s words, DDT off the top rope. Bliss had previously taken a high risk Twisted Bliss off a Chamber pod only to be placed in the Bank Statement. It looked as if Bliss was about to tap, but she wouldn’t give up and eventually got Banks back on her feet. Banks would try and attempt a move off a pod, but Bliss pushed her head right into the top of the pod, all before reversing the whole ordeal into an impressive DDT.

Following the match, Bliss gave what seemed like a tearful genuine promo with interviewer Renee Young as fans yelled, “You deserve it”. She told Renee, “This victory means everything to me” as Sasha looked to be lightly sobbing outside of the chamber. Bliss would go on to say this win was for every girl out there, you can be whatever you want to be.

It seemed Bliss had literally turned into a complete babyface loved by the fans, before a classic heel turn mid-promo ended fans hopes of cheering her on.

“I’m looking out here at everyone of you and the reality is that … None of you will ever accomplish your dreams!” – Alexa Bliss

Sasha Banks ends a friendship

At the end of the day, Sasha Banks is always about Sasha Banks, a fact Bayley had to learn the hard way as Banks give her a boot to the face after it looked like she was helping her on top of the chamber. Bliss would later take advantage of the renewed feud between the two with a quick rollup of Bayley following a Bayley to Belly suplex off the top rope on Banks. Bliss almost narrowly pinned Banks too in the segment.

Mickie James’ amazing leap off the top of Elimination Chamber pod

Mickie James leaped 15 feet in the air off the top of the pod to eliminate Absolution’s Sonya Deville. James then distracted by Bliss in the pod gets hits from behind by Bayley, she momentarily regains control when Banks hits her with the Backstabber before Bayley’s Bayley to Belly to pin James.

Cool mention: James came out in a stylish take on the Wonder Woman outfit for the match.

There’s nothing like teamwork

Sasha Banks and Bayley teamed up against Absolution’s Sonya Deville after her co-faction member Mandy Rose was eliminated from the match following a Backstabber into a Bank Statement. Commentator Corey Graves said, “Mandy Rose has the dubious distinction of being the first woman eliminated from the Women’s first-ever Royal Rumble and now the first woman eliminated from the Women’s first-ever Elimination Chamber”

Early on, there was some excellent teamwork from Absolution as Mandy Rose hit Bayley right into a spear from Sonya Deville.

Paige loved the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match
