Chiefs fans call police, report robbery over Marcus Peters

Fans of the Kansas City chiefs are not happy with what the team will get in return for star corner Marcus Peters.

The Kansas City Chiefs decided to trade All Pro corner Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams late last week. It took until Monday, but the details of the trade have finally been announced. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Chiefs will send Peters and a 2018 sixth round pick. In exchange, the Rams will send their 2018 fourth-round pick and a 2019 second-round pick.

Kansas City police have been alerted by multiple people of a robbery at One Arrowhead Drive. That would be the address for the Chiefs headquarters.

Apparently trading a 25-year-old star, who plays one of the NFL’s most important positions, for a second and fourth round pick constitutes a robbery. Good news is that the K.C. police seem to be prepared.

Peters is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He will be up for a monster extension, rightfully so. Kansas City cut bait with him primarily due to his off the field behavior. It is not so much run-ins with the law but odd behavior that built up enough leading to this trade.

Last season alone, Peters was suspended because he picked up a referee’s flag and threw it into the stands. After the incident he left the sideline for the locker room, despite not being ejected. His attitude wore on coaches as well. He even hurled an expletive at a fan sitting behind the bench in his home stadium.

This loss will hurt the Kansas City pass defense. The question will be; to what degree? They finished towards the bottom of the league already in pass defense with Peters. Life without him can not get much worse.
