1. Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA

Why he’s on this list

Pass rushers 6’6 260 who can move don’t just grow on trees. Davenport dominated at times in college, with his tape flashes shades of Jadeveon Clowney his his freakish combination of size, athletic ability, and power.

He started slowly at the Senior Bowl but by the end of the week, no one could block him. Everyone understands he’s raw, but the tools are as appealing as you could for.

What he needs to do

Show explosiveness. If he gets his 40 time and jumps into that elite level and does just a baseline job with his agility drills—the countering and lateral movement as a pass rusher is where he could expose himself a little—Davenport could be a top-10 pick.

He’s a hard working kid with a relentless motor and heart that can’t be measured at the combine, but that stuff is on tape. Go show the incredible athleticism and GMs will forgive a lack of sack production in college.

Davenport is the real deal and perhaps no one in Indy has the chance to help himself more this week than Davenport.
