Round 3, Pick 76

Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis

With Randall Cobb’s future uncertain in Green Bay and the team in desperate need of speed, Miller falls right into their laps in the third round. Miller (5-foot-11, 190 pounds)  is nearly identical to Cobb (5-foot-10, 192) in terms of height and weight, and Miller presents a host of similarities to young Cobb with his ability to break a slant for a 60-yard touchdown or get behind a defense and create down the field with precise route running and burst.

Miller caught 96 passes last season for the Tigers and scored 18 touchdowns. He’s a playmaker, and the Packers could use a spark player. No one is going to outwork him and though Miller has come inconsistencies catching the ball, particularly on shorter throws, he demonstrates the ability to make the incredible play whether contorting on the sideline or an outside-his-frame catch in traffic.

Not to mention, one of the notes in his scouting report, “Works with scrambling quarterback,” is a prerequisite to playing with Aaron Rodgers. This is a no-brainer for the Packers.
