PWInsider is reporting the original plans for Brock Lesnar’s appearance on RAW from last Monday.

It’s well known that Universal champion Brock Lesnar was originally expected to show up on the Feb. 28 edition of Raw for the first episode since the Elimination Chamber PPV. What viewers saw instead was his WrestleMania opponent Roman Reigns in the middle of ring, criticizing Lesnar for his absence on Raw. With Lesnar originally being advertised for Raw, what were the plans for the Universal Champion if he were to show up last Monday?

According to Mike Johnson from PWInsider, the original plans for Lesnar’s appearance was to have “a lengthy back and forth promo segment” between him and Reigns with Paul Heyman on Lesnar’s behalf. The segment would’ve even featured Lesnar calling Reigns a b**ch.

Why the change in plans? Johnson elaborated on some theories as to why it might have come about.

"It could very well be that Lesnar opted not to come to Raw as part of hardline negotiating tactics with WWE. Or it could be that WWE was upset about the Dana White photo and told Lesnar not to come to the taping. Of course, it could also be some out of the box worked storyline attempting to finally get Roman Reigns back over the hump with the vocal fan base that rejects him, as well."

While it’s unknown what Lesnar’s future in the WWE is, it’s worth considering the amount of money Lesnar is making despite wrestling on a part-time basis, which could be a huge factor for him to potentially re-sign with WWE once his deal comes to an end. While it’s very possible Lesnar could end up trying to pursue a comeback to the UFC, keep in mind Lesnar is 40 years old, and that could affect his ability to compete in the Octagon if he does decide to come back

Who knows what Lesnar has in store now that his deal is almost up?
