The Dallas Cowboys were the class of the NFC back in 2016, as they finished with the best record in the conference. In 2017, that was definitely not the case, as a suspension to star running back Ezekiel Elliott really hurt them. In 2018, the team should be all back together, and after some young stars stepped up on both sides of the ball last season, they should be right back in the playoff race.

The loss of Elliott certainly hurt, but one bright spot last season was the play of their secondary. This collection of players had to step in after the team lost most of their veterans back there in the offseason, and they did not disappoint. In the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cowboys should look to bolster their defense up front and a guy like Vita Vea could certainly help them there.

The talk around Vea is starting to pick up steam, so he could be gone by the time the Cowboys pick at No. 19. However, if he is there, he would be a perfect fit for what the Cowboys like to do on defense. He is so strong that he is able to just move offensive lineman to the side, and has incredible speed for someone his size. He is going to be quite the player to watch on Sundays, and should be very good right away.
