The Euro League kicks off March with another unbalanced round. We get the heavy part on Thursday, but most of the talent goes on Friday. How will this affect the way we build our DraftKings lineups? There is much more value here!
The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!

Guards:
We have seven guards priced in five figures. My favorite is still Alexey Shved. It’s not just the nine straight rounds of more than 30 DraftKings points or the 35.25 he put up in the first game against Baskonia. Consistency is much harder to come by in the Euro League. When a guy is on a roll like Shved, you have to ride it out!
Nando de Colo is a decent pivot due to his monster against Tel Aviv earlier this season. de Colo has the best matchup of the top guards Thursday, but Nando has five games under 25 DraftKings points in the last ten. One was even in single digits! I find it hard to trust the struggling Sergio Rodriguez or Kevin Pangos for their price. If you are pairing Nando or Shved with another big name, Huertel is the best other five figure guard.
Cory Higgins is the only guy in the middle tier that I am really comfortable with. Goudelock should have come up big with Theodore out, but he struggled last round. Erick Green has a solid matchup, but he is more reliant on scoring that most in the Euro League, making him a big risk.
Once again, Toney Douglas looks like a great pick. Douglas should start, but starters fluctuate more in the Euro League than in the NBA. Vasilije Micic had a nice game against Barcelona earlier this season, and plays well when he starts. Stefan Markovic remains a solid value play for Khimki as he starts most games.
Juan Carlos Navarro has played well while forced into action with all of the injuries to Barcelona lately. With Pau Ribas on doubtful side of questionable, Navarro could provide lots of value for a very low price. Only do this if you can watch the lineups closely before tipoff.
Forwards:
Once again, Tornike Shengelia is the elite forward play. Will Clyburn had a big last around, but I prefer the consistency of Shengelia and the better matchup on Thursday. Shengelia is worth the extra $900.
The return of Thomas Robinson is the only thing keeping my off of Tyler Honeycutt. Honeycutt would be my favorite forward tonight if not for T-Rob’s return. Honeycutt may still be okay, but that’s a sizeable risk for his price.
Jankunas, Jonah Bolden, and Aaron White all have matchups against top five frontcourts on Thursday, so I am completely fading the middle tier. If you absolutely want to play one of them, go with the consistency of Aaron White.
Ante Tomic seems to have passed Adam Hanga in the pecking order for Barcelona right now. However, both could be worth using if Kevin Seraphin is still out. Right now, it looks as though he will be.
I have become a huge fan of Artsiom Parakhouski, but I am going to fade him for the first time in six weeks tonight against CSKA Moscow. There are several players cheaper than him that I feel will have better games. I really like Derrick Brown and Brock Motum with Zoran Dragic done for the year. Brown was better last game, but that may not mean much.
Nikita Kurbanov has played well lately for CSKA Moscow. Despite coming off the bench, Kurbanov has three straight rounds of more than 15 DraftKings points. Not bad for $5,100!
