1. Allen Robinson

Benjamin is now in Buffalo. Devin Funchess stepped up very nicely in 2017 and has the look of a strong long time contributor. The Panthers also used a second round pick last year on a very different type of receiving weapon in Curtis Samuel. Christian McCaffrey’s emergence as dangerous receiver also gives Newton a variety of receiving threats at his disposal. But how much longer can Newton count on Greg Olsen?

Carolina has a lot of areas of concern, but if they could land a big time receiving option this offense could be primed to take a major step forward. It is uncertain if Jacksonville will allow Robinson to test the free agent market, but this is a receiver that is ideal for Newton.

Robinson, just 24-years-old but coming off an ACL injury, can get downfield and threaten a defense deep. But where he really stands out is going up and getting the football. Also, Funchess’ deal is up after the 2018 season so now might be the time to get him locked up for the long term, but there is no assurance that can get done.
