Former LSU Tigers running back Derrius Guice had some direct words at the NFL Scouting Combine for the 31 teams that don’t draft him in April.

On Thursday afternoon, Derrius Guice stepped to the podium at the NFL Scouting Combine and stole the show with a litany of comments.

Among them, Guice talked about not knowing which teams played in the AFC North. He also talked about why the 31 teams in the league who pass on him are going to pay the price in the years to come.

Guice is the second-rated running back in the class for most scouts, settling in behind Saquon Barkley of Penn State. The 5-foot-11, 218-pound back is built like a fire hydrant but has a nice blend of speed and power, rushing for more than 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons at LSU.

In 2016, Guice broke onto the scene as a sophomore, racking up 1,387 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns as a compliment to Leonard Fournette. In 2017, the SEC product totaled 1,251 and 11 scores on the ground, while adding 18 catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Currently, NFL.com has Guice rated as a first or second-round pick. With a good showing at the combine, he could comfortably slide in the back half of the first. There are a litany of teams in that range with the need for a dynamic back, ranging from the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles to the Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions.

If he goes in first round, Guice would be the second LSU running back to go that high in as many years. Last April, Fournette was chosen with the fourth-overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
