Kentucky. Kevin Knox. 18. player. 89. . F

The Bucks have quietly created a roster in which a superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is the most athletic and impactful player physically on his team. That is true for very few rosters, and it should make Milwaukee think hard about a player like Knox.

The scoring and physicality of Khris Middleton and Jabari Parker are useful — a core part of what Milwaukee does offensively. In a way, it also fits into how Antetokounmpo plays, in that if the Greek Freak is not overpowering you with momentum and speed on his way to the rim, the two complementary parts will slow things down and carry the offense from the elbow or post. There is enough scoring oomph on the team to move toward the next phase of Antetokounmpo’s development.

When the Freak eventually adds a jump shot, the Bucks will be able to transition back toward a roster with more players like Antetokounmpo rather than those who complement him. Knox could be one of those players.

Based on the success Sterling Brown has had as a rookie for the Bucks this year, we can already see how impressive athletic players who can shoot will look next to Antetokounmpo. Knox has a long way to go on his jumper, but he has a lottery-level ceiling regardless of where he lands.
