Manchester City host Chelsea in the highlight of Premier League matchweek 29. Here are five bold predictions about what’s to come.

Premier League matchweek 29 begins with Everton traveling to Turf Moor to face Burnley in Saturday’s early kickoff, before Liverpool host Newcastle in the later kickoff. On Sunday, Arsenal travel to Brighton and Chelsea have a difficult away game against Manchester City. The weekend is rounded off on Monday night, when Crystal Palace welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park.

1. Mohamed Salah scores for seventh successive game

While Liverpool aren’t going to win the Premier League this year, they’ve certainly made one of the signings of the season in Mohamed Salah. Some questioned whether the Egyptian forward was capable of performing in the Premier League after he had an underwhelming spell at Chelsea.

However, any doubters have been proved wrong as Salah has notched 30 goals in 33 matches this season. In the Premier League, he’s managed 23 of those goals in just 27 matches, a ridiculous return for a player in his first season at a new club.

This weekend Salah will look to score for the seventh successive game as Liverpool host Newcastle in Saturday’s later kickoff. Newcastle’s away form this season hasn’t been awful, but it’s unlikely they’ll get a result against Liverpool, who haven’t lost at home all season.

If Salah does score, he might fancy his chances of catching Jamie Vardy’s record of scoring in 11 consecutive matches. Provided he stays injury free, there’s nothing stopping the Egyptian scoring 30 Premier League goals.

There’s already talk of Salah winning Player of the Year. He faces some stiff competition from Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane, but if he reaches 30 goals with Liverpool, he could well take that prize.
