The 2018 Mountain West Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament kicks off March 7-10 in Las Vegas. Here’s your printable bracket so you can follow along.
It’s tourney time for the Mountain West Conference as the Men’s Basketball Tournament descends upon the Thomas & Mack Center March 7-10. No 1 seed Nevada hopes to keep its Big Dance dreams alive but they’re going to have to keep up their winning ways to make it to through the championship game on March 10. You can get a copy of the printable bracket here. First Round action begins on March 7, continuing to the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Nevada (15-3 conference, 26-6 overall) is coming off a loss to San Diego State in the final game of the season. They will either play No 8 UNLV (8-10 conference, 19-12 overall) or No 9 Air Force (6-12 conference, 12-18 overall) on March 8.
No 2 Boise (13-5 conference, 23-7 overall), will either face No 7 Utah State (8-10 conference, 15-16 overall) or No 10 Colorado State (4-14 conference, 11-20 overall). No 3 New Mexico is riding a five game winning streak coming into the tournament. They await the winner of the No 6 Wyoming (10-8 conference, 19-12 overall) vs No 11 San Jose State (1-17 conference, 4-25 overall) game.
No 4 Fresno State and No 5 San Diego State earned a First Round bye and will face off against each other on March 8. Both teams are 11-7 in conference play, with Fresno State edging the Aztecs with a 21-10 overall record versus San Diego State’s 19-10 overall. San Diego State, which has been a perennial NCAA Tournament presence over the past several years, has been struggling this season and needs a Mountain West tourney win to get back to the Big Dance.
