The first leg of the Champions League knockout rounds didnāt start well for Tottenham. Mauricio Pochettinoās side saw themselves down by two inside of the first 10 minutes thanks to a brace from Gonzalo Higuain. However, they quickly regained their composure and managed to fight back for a 2-2 draw. Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen scored for Tottenham as they collected two vital away goals going into the second leg. Spurs now just need a low scoring draw to advance through to the quarter-finals. They are in terrific form in both major competitions, and havenāt lost since Manchester City in the middle of December.
Juventus didnāt take full advantage of their home leg against Tottenham in February. Ultimately, they allowed two away goals that could be decisive near the end of this match, and now have to travel to London mid-week. The comeback was the first time an opponent overcame a two goal deficit at the Allianz Stadium since Juventus moved there in 2011. They are also in splendid form in both competitions, having not lost since November of last year. Juventus needs to carry that over into the second leg, as they need to win or score a lot of goals in a draw to advance.
