Le’Veon Bell won’t miss any games in 2018

After being tagged by the Pittsburgh Steelers for the second straight season, Le’Veon Bell has decided to use the same gameplan from a year ago.
It’s official. The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed the franchise tag on Le’Veon Bell for the second straight season.
Despite rumors going around that Bell would sit out regular season games in 2018, he made it very clear that is not the case. However, he does intend on sitting out OTAs, minicamp, training camp and preseason games again, just as he did in 2017.
Bell also took to Instagram after being tagged, stating “It’s just a re-run of last year.” Bell had the same stance last year as he held out the entire offseason in hopes of signing a new deal.
"“Honestly no, I am not going to sit. I am going to be in the facility Week 1.” Bell reiterated his earlier statement that he plans to be with the team week 1."
Last year, Bell did not sign the franchise tag until Week 1 of the NFL season. The Steelers and Bell have until July 16 to strike a long-term deal in order to avoid the potential holdout. If they can’t get the deal done, expect Bell to sit out the offseason program again.

Throughout his five-year career, Bell has been one of the most productive players in the league. Last season, the former Michigan State product ran for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding another 85 catches for 655 yards through the air. The performance earned him First-Team All-Pro honors for the second time in his career.
Moving forward, expect Bell to suit up for the Steelers come Week 1, keeping him from missing any meaningful games.
