The Cleveland Browns made some moves on Friday, finishing things off by nabbing Tyrod Taylor from the Buffalo Bills for the No. 65 pick in the draft. Twitter was tickled pink.
Tyrod Taylor needed out of Buffalo. The Cleveland Browns needed a quarterback. After landing Jarvis Landry from the Dolphins earlier in the day and cornerback Damarious Randall from the Packers, the Browns lined up another big deal and hit engage.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter opened SportsCenter staring at his phone as he finished up tweeting out the deets. Michael Smith seemed surprised.
This is the Tweet that Schefter was busy composing when the cameras went live.

This time, Cleveland agrees to trade a mid-round draft pick to Buffalo for QB Tyrod Taylor, source tells ESPN.
Taylor now will throw to new Browns’ WR Jarvis Landry.
And Buffalo back in QB market.
More on SportsCenter now.
This would appear to be a great move for the Browns, landing a quality quarterback who can throw to their brand new wide receiver. With a wealth of other picks in the draft — including No. 1, likely to be Saquon Barkley now that they have a quarterback — the Browns appear set to take a big step forward next season. I mean, how could they not. Even the Browns social media team seemed impressed with their personnel moves.

The Browns doing their part to keep LeBron. Got Tyrod Taylor and Jarvis Landry on the same day. AND kept their first and fourth overall picks. They gotta take Saquon #1 now.

The Browns big day was reminiscent of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ trade deadline day last month, when a series of massive deals rapidly remade the bulk of their roster in dramatic fashion. The only question left is who will the Browns acquire next?
