Here are five things that you may have missed during the NBA week.

A lot has happened within the past week throughout the NBA both on and off the court. There has been no shortage of exciting headlines, making it quite hard to narrow down five of the biggest headlines. Despite being one of the most exciting times of the year on the court, the off-court news seemed to outweigh the on-court news this week.

Off the court this week, Kevin Love stunned the world by opening up about his history with anxiety and panic. In a heartfelt, emotional piece of writing, Love expressed his true emotions for the world to see. He showed everybody NBA players are human too, despite stardom. The NBA world rallied around him as DeMar DeRozan, teammate LeBron James and former teammate Isaiah Thomas publicly expressed their support of Love. In other news, Mark Cuban is now being accused of sexual assault as more and more information comes to the surface about the Mavericks scandal.

Elsewhere, Dwyane Wade visited Stoneman Douglas High School and spoke to students just weeks after the tragic shooting took place. Wade has been an inspiration to some of the students involved, he was touched by one of the fallen students being buried in his jersey. Elsewhere, Colorado State has shown interest in Becky Hammon, Spurs assistant. Hammon has done a fantastic job as the first full-time female assistant coach in NBA history. She’s now being evaluated by her alma mater to coach the men’s basketball team.

On the court, Anthony Davis is confident DeMarcus Cousins will re-sign with the Pelicans this off-season. New Orleans is on a 10-game win streak without him, it makes one wonder what they could do with him healthy. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers are on an eight-game streak as they’ve elevated themselves to third in the West. The Thunder are at risk of missing the playoffs and the West is more fun than ever. Here are five other headlines you may have missed during the NBA this week.
