After four years with the Denver Broncos, Todd Davis will hit free agency for the first time, and he should have a good amount of suitors.
The Denver Broncos are trying to rebuild their team to a degree, and keeping Davis would be a boon for them. Why? Because Davis is quietly becoming a solid player for Denver, notching at least 82 tackles in each of the past two seasons.
At 25 years old, there is reason to beleive that Davis has ample upside ahead of him. While he’s not going to be a Pro Bowler or All-Pro barring a huge jump in production, he can be a quality piece on a good defense. The value is going to be there on the former Sacramento State standout, and if the Broncos can’t retain him, he’ll add to another defense in fine form.
Best fits
1. Denver Broncos
Denver would be well-advised to keep Davis in house. The Broncos are going through a minor rebuilding phase, and Davis is one of their young players who can help Von Miller in the front seven. Losing him would create another hole for general manager John Elway to fill.
2. Los Angeles Chargers
Denzel Perryman is a terrific player, but he’s dealt with some injuries in the past, including an ankle injury from a year ago. When healthy Perryman would make a great team with Davis, and when Perryman is on the shelf, Davis could keep the Bolts from having a huge dropoff in production. This is a great fit.

3. Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles is remaking the defense this offseason, already landing Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib while trading away Robert Quinn and Alec Ogletree. The Rams have the cap space to be aggressive throughout free agency, and signing Davis shouldn’t break the bank for them.
