The Cleveland Browns traded quarterback DeShone Kizer to the Green Bay Packers for cornerback Damarious Randall. Yes, Twitter had something to say about it.

The NFL is really losing its mind this week with all these trades in the days after the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine. It reached a boiling point and absolutely boiled over on Friday. First, the Los Angeles Rams decided that they needed to rebuild their entire roster on the fly. Next, the Seattle Seahawks decided the Legion of Boom had to die. So of course, the Cleveland Browns had to get on the wheeling and dealing action.

Cleveland is supposedly enamored with Penn State Nittany Lions running back Saquon Barkley. So the Browns are probably going to take him No. 1 overall. To avoid the fury of hate of them passing on another franchise quarterback in the draft, they traded for former Buffalo Bills starter Tyrod Taylor.

No, the Browns were not done with quarterback deals on Friday. They ended up sending their 2017 second-round selection in DeShone Kizer to the Green Bay Packers for cornerback Damarious Randall. Kizer left Notre Dame after his redshirt sophomore season and didn’t win a game for the winless 2017 Browns as a starter. It was really bad in Cleveland last year.

Sadly, it wasn’t much better for the Packers either, as they resolved into being 7-9 BS once starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone midseason. Yes, the Packers won a few games with Brett Hundley under center, but they basically looked like the NFC Browns without Rodgers.

Frankly, this deal could help both parties. Cleveland has a great defensive coordinator in Gregg Williams. The Browns were looking for cornerback depth after they traded veteran Joe Haden to the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers last season. Randall could certainly help in the Cleveland secondary.

As for Kizer, he can be the suitable backup Green Bay could use behind Rodgers. Kizer has a powerful right arm and the ideal size to succeed in a northern climate. Perhaps he can grow in the Green Bay offense in a way that he never could in Cleveland?

Of course, Twitter lost its mind with news of this trade. Here is some of the best ramblings social media had in real time over this late Friday afternoon trade between Cleveland and Green Bay.

Basically, here is what Twitter is telling us about the trade. Cleveland feels like it won Friday. The last time the Browns won was Christmas Eve…2016. Green Bay acknowledges that their quarterback situation after Rodgers was no good. There are so many emotions going on about the trade. It’s just crazy!
