Here’s a preview and prediction for every match of the 2018 edition of the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event.

WWE Fastlane is the final stop on the road to WrestleMania 34, and it comes your way this Sunday on the WWE Network.

At first glance, this show looks like one of the reasons that WWE is going back to dual-branded pay-per-view events, but I suppose I’ve been surprised before. There are just very few things on the card that I’m overly excited about seeing, and with most of these folks not wanting to risk an injury before New Orleans, I’m not overly optimistic about what we’ll get on Sunday night. I wouldn’t hope that anyone on the show would mail it in, but nobody wants to risk missing the biggest show of the year and the payday that comes along with it. But these men and women are professionals, so let’s hope that everyone brings their “A” game and we get a watchable show.

With all of that being said, there are still some storylines (good or bad) that could come out of the show, so let’s take a look at each match on the card and I’ll give you a quick take on how I think things are going to go down.

Becky Lynch & Naomi vs. Natalya & Carmella

Thrown together on the last SmackDown Live before WWE Fastlane, this tag match consisting of Becky Lynch and Naomi taking on Natalya and Carmella has kickoff show written all over it. At the time of this writing, that hasn’t been confirmed, but there’s really nothing at stake here outside of some bragging rights. WWE wants you to believe that these four are competing to still try and get a spot against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, but I think we all know that nobody from this match will be competing for a title in New Orleans. These four haven’t been getting much attention recently, so this is simply a way to get them some TV time.

Prediction: With only a few months left before Carmella’s time with the Money in the Bank briefcase runs out, I think she’ll get some kind of spotlight here, so I’ll go with her and Natalya getting the victory.
