Get the lineup advice you need to set your DraftKings fantasy NASCAR lineups for the TicketGuardian 500 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix.
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing isnāt follow the leader, but itās seemed like it these past two weeks. Kevin Harvick has been spellbinding in his dominance, leading tons of laps, winning two straight races and generally making his DraftKings fantasy NASCAR owners happy.
Does he have a third win under the hood of that āFreaky Fastā No. 4 Stewart-Haass Racing Ford? Thatās the big question for the TicketGuardian 500 at Phoenix, and fantasy NASCAR players are generally going to be either building a lineup around Harvick or trying to figure out how to be a contrarian in a way that will pay off.
We can help with both, or at least weāre sure going to try.
Important note: Taking the lead from other FanSided.com DFS writers, weāre not going to give you a copy/paste lineup, though we will give you a sample lineup with picks that we feel good about that fits under the price cap. Letās get to it!
Premium drivers (salary above $9,000)
Kevin Harvick ($11,400) ā Heās more than $1,000 than last week, and heās bound to not win a race sometime soon. The arguments for playing him are several: Heās the winningest NASCAR driver at ISM raceway, he was the fastest in final practice and he can even give you a couple place differential points this week since heās starting 10th. If heās not in your lineup, you better have a heck of a plan to justify it.
Brad Keselowski ($9,900) ā If you love riding the hot driver from the XFINITY Series race, Brad K. is your guy this week. But what we really love about him is that he only qualified 25th, and heās not likely to stay there for long. If he can move up through the field early, watch out.
Martin Truex Jr. ($10,900) ā You know the 2017 champ is going to find his groove any race now, and Phoenix could be where he starts looking like he did last year. If you think he can get out in front right away ā and he is pretty darn good on restarts ā he could rack you up some points leading laps early.
Kyle Busch ($10,500) ā Also looked really good during the XFINITY Series race, and he offers a little more positional point potential (but only a little) than Kyle Larson since he starts seventh. Could be the centerpiece of an anti-Harvick lineup and give you nearly and extra $1,000 to spend elsewhere.
