Find out how to tune in live to see Junior embark in earnest on the next stage of his career.
Fans loved Dale Earnhardt Jr., race car driver. Will they take to him the same way as Dale Earnhardt Jr., NASCAR TV broadcaster and analyst? We’re about to find out.
Dale Jr. makes his TV analyst debut this evening on NASCAR America, NBCSN’s daily NASCAR news show. He’ll be appearing this Monday and Tuesday and then make reoccurring appearances throughout the year as part of the program’s rotating group of analysts. One analyst he’ll get to team with is Steve Letarte, reassembling a duo that used to work together as driver and crew chief.
Earnhardt will also serve as a color commentator once NBC Sports takes over broadcasts of the races themselves in the second half of the season. That transition traditionally takes place for the July Daytona race, but because of the way the 2018 schedule works out, NBC will begin its coverage of NASCAR events the prior weekend with the Chicagoland race on July 1.
For his first show, Earnhardt will undoubtedly have some thoughts on the early 2018 dominance of Kevin Harvick, who had to work a little harder at Phoenix but still pulled off his third win in a row. Since Junior was a Chevy driver his entire career, you can expect him to weigh in on the manufacturer’s overall struggles so far this season as well.
