Quenton Nelson wasn’t the only standout offensive lineman at Notre Dame. Tackle Mike McGlinchey was also part of one of the best units in all of college football. McGlinchey quickly made a name for himself because of his leadership and his play.

At 6’8″ and over 300 pounds, McGlinchey is a large tackle. Teams are going to take him high because of his size and the fact that he was a really good tackle for most of his career at Notre Dame.

With a long frame, he’s going to have to prove that he has the bend to keep up while showing flexibility. He’s also going to have be able to show that he can adjust to the speed of the NFL as well.

Speed rushers are going to be a big task for such a big tackle and at the next level, the speed is unlike anything he has ever seen before. There were some games he struggled in during his final year, such as the Miami game, but overall he had a great body of work.

He’s going to be a future leader on an offensive line and has captaincy written all over him. A big question is going to be which side of the line he plays on. Is he going to be a right tackle or left in the NFL?
