Harold Landry came into the 2017 season as the nation’s top pass rusher. After compiling 16.5 sacks in his junior season, Landry built a reputation for himself as someone who made a living getting after the quarterback.

He ended up battling some injuries in 2017 and only ended up playing in nine games overall for the Eagles. However, when he got sacks, they came in bunches. It’s interesting to watch his performances and it tends to be when he gets one, he gets another.

Consistency is going to be a big that Landry will need to work on if he’s going to be a top pass rusher at the next level. He’s fast, but he also can’t allow himself to become too predictable and get eaten up by blocks either.

At 6’3″ and 252 pounds, he’s not the tallest pass rusher but he does have long arms that help make up what he lacks in the height at the position. He’s a pure pass rusher and will likely only play in certain packages to start his career, so ending up in the right defense is going to be critical.

Teams can never have enough pass rushers and Landry will go early because of his role. If he can be the sack artist that he was in his junior year of college, then he should have a successful career at the next level.
