NFL Draft 2018: Top 32 draft prospects after the NFL Combine

While Saquon Barkley has captured all the headlines as the premier running back in this draft class, Derrius Guice is another top talent that could be a superstar in the backfield. He’s a strong running back that powers through his legs and is hard to bring down.
He didn’t see too many receptions, but he is basically a threat for big yards if he sees any sign of open field. In his final season with LSU, he ran for 1,251 yards and found the end zone 11 times running the ball and twice catching it.
The Tigers have had a recent string of success with running backs and Guice had big shoes to fill following Leonard Fournette. He did just that and made sure he elevated himself as one of the top running backs in the country.
He’s freakishly strong and teams looking for a player with a tireless work ethic are going to love him. At the combine, Guice ran a 4.47-40 yard dash and wowed everyone as he was expected to do.
Barkley’s going to be the first running back off the board, but Guice is going to step right in and help a team immediately shore up the running back position. He just has to focus on staying healthy and not let little nagging injuries get to him.
