The 2018 NCAA women’s basketball tournament features top-seeded UConn, who are perfect on the 2017-2018 season and looking to avenge the 2017 national championship loss to Mississippi State. Not coincidentally, Mississippi State also won a No 1 seed, along with Louisville and Notre Dame. Notre Dame has battled through injuries all season and still managed to secure a top spot in the bracket.
This year’s games will be fun to watch. South Carolina landed the No 2 seed in the same Albany Region as UConn, while Louisville and No 2 Baylor are both in the Lexington Region. Though UConn is undefeated, these teams know what happened in 2017 and they’ll be looking for the chance to upset the top team in the nation.
The First Round kicks off March 16-17 and will be followed by the Second Round March 18-19. The Sweet Sixteen takes place March 23-24, followed by the Elite Eight March 25-26. The Final Four games will take place in Columbus, Ohio, on March 30, and the tournament will be capped off by the National Championship game on April 1.
