High Value C

Jusuf Nurkic, POR vs CLE ($6,600): Nurkic is coming off a 56.7 fantasy point effort against the Heat on Tuesday. He had 43.4 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Jan. 2. If Larry Nance Jr. doesn’t play, that leaves Cleveland very shorthanded in the frontcourt. That’s good news for Nurkic, whose bruising style could be trouble for small players. ****

Enes Kanter, NY vs PHI ($5,800): Kanter missed value against the Mavericks, finishing with 19.5 fantasy points. He’s played 22 minutes or less in three of his last four games. He’s still managed to be over value in two of those contests, but his striking playing time doesn’t bode well for his value moving forward. He’s averaging 48 fantasy points in two games against the Sixers this season. His minutes should be up and production should follow suit. ***

Pau Gasol, SA vs NO ($5,600): Gasol has played just 15 minutes in each of the last two games, which has really hurt his value. His salary is down to where he needs 24.2 fantasy points to hit value. He couldn’t stay on the floor against Houston and the Spurs were able to rest him against Magic due to the blowout. He played 25 minutes against the Pelicans earlier this season, finishing with 40.3 fantasy points. He should stay on the floor and if he does, he’ll be over 25 fantasy points. ***
