Buffalo takes on Arizona in the First Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game on TV and online.
All eyes are on No. 4 Arizona to go deep in the 2018 NCAA Tournament, but first they have to get past the No. 13 Buffalo Bulls in the First Round of the tournament.
The Arizona Wildcats (27-7) come into the NCAA Tournament after an impressive victory in the Pac-12 Tournament. While the Bulls have been averaging 84.8 points per game to the Wildcats’ 80.9, Arizona leads in almost all of the other categories. Buffalo’s offense is something that Arizona will need to watch out for, along with their ability to score quickly.
The Wildcats have a lot of experience with Buffalo because ASU’s coach Bobby Hurley came from Buffalo, giving Arizona a taste of what they can expect. Arizona coach Sean Miller is ready for what the Bulls might throw at them: “They play predominantly man-to-man, they love to push the ball in transition, they utilize the 3-point shot , they sub in a similar manner but they really have the ability to strike in transition and strike quickly.”
The Buffalo Bulls enter the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the past four years. Their offense is fast, with their pace of play the 15th-quickest in the nation. If they can keep the game moving quickly and make their 3-point shots (they’re 47.40% in field goals), they have a good chance to tame the Wildcats.
