Rhode Island’s dancing bench is NCAA Tournament’s breakout star

Can Rhode Island’s bench go to the Final Four?
March Madness has just begun, and already, Rhode Island’s bench is making a great case to go to the Final Four.
If you’ve been on Twitter (or any social media page for that matter), then you’ve seen the “Dancing Islanders” doing their thing on the sideline, all the while delivering a potentially early blow to everyone’s bracket.
See, many fans had Oklahoma, an underrated No. 10 seed, beating the team from Rhode Island. That isn’t looking like the case, however, and we can only imagine that Rhode Island’s bench is dancing on all of our faces.
Check out these excellent scenes from a bench that needs its own contract:
How can you not love this? More importantly, can their bench get a ticket to the Final Four, even if they don’t go all the way?
Every year since the dawn of March Madness, college players who have no shot of getting on the court find a way to make their mark on Tournament. Rhode Island isn’t a school that has many opportunities to be on network television, so when the spotlight’s on, this bench has come prepared.

Even better is that they’re giving everyone in Norman, OK heartburn, knowing that their team, which was, at one time, a favorite to get to the Elite 8, is on the verge of heading back home, doing Darwin’s Sad Dance.
Come to think of it, now that they have beaten the Sooners this would be the perfect dance to do. Would that sting Oklahoma? Of course, it would; but the Rams have “Come here to Dance,” and dance is exactly what Rhode Island has done. Congratulations to the first team to advance in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
