player. 142. . C. Texas A&M. Robert Williams III. 19

I have no idea what to make of Williams at this point, and I haven’t established a rubric for how disappearing off the screen entirely impacts my projections of you as a player, but one thing I do know is that Williams is falling.

From Jan. 16 to Feb. 20, Williams scored in double figures 11 consecutive times. During that stretch, he posted three double-doubles and registered four or more blocks four times. It seemed safe to get back on the bandwagon, because as inconsistent as Williams can be, his gifts are evident in watching him.

He may be the best leaper in this class, and gets in position well when protecting the rim or fighting for a rebound. The concern is his involvement from play to play. The Aggies are in the miserable position of occasionally playing three big men thanks to their dearth of guards, yet Williams allows himself to fall away from the action far too often.

He will need a big March, and an impressive combine, to work his way back into the excited minds of NBA decision-makers.
