Tennessee Titans full 2018 NFL mock draft

The Tennessee Titans will only have six picks to improve as a football team in the 2018 NFL Draft. Here is the latest NFL mock draft for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans find themselves in an interesting situation heading into 2018. While they not only made the AFC playoffs for the first time in years, the Titans actually won a road playoff game over the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild card round. Even more interesting was the Adams Family’s decision to fire head coach Mike Mularkey after getting crushed by the New England Patriots in the divisional round.

In short, the Titans are in a way retooling on the fly. They have a talented roster assembled by relatively new general manager Jon Robinson over the last few years. Tennessee will be welcoming in a new coaching staff. Former Patriots linebacker and Houston Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel will be in charge of his first team as head coach. He was able to land two solid coaches Matt LaFleur as his offensive coordinator and Dean Pees as his defensive coordinator.

Tennessee should be able to contend in the AFC for a playoff spot in 2018. However, the Titans might play in the toughest division in the AFC. Jacksonville won the division with a great defense and were minutes from reaching Super Bowl LII. Indianapolis should be getting back Andrew Luck at quarterback with Frank Reich as his new head coach. Houston might have lost Vrabel to the Titans, but this will be year two of the Deshaun Watson era for the Texans.

Obviously, the Titans have a few needs to address in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft. Primary needs include safety, out on the edge and linebacker. Secondary needs are at defensive line, tight end and quarterback. Tertiary needs are at guard, center and running back. Tennessee only has six picks in this upcoming draft, as the Titans do not have a seventh-round pick. Here is the latest 2018 NFL mock draft for the Titans.

First Round

Adding Malcolm Butler to pair alongside former Patriots teammate Logan Ryan at cornerback is a great start for the Titans revamping their secondary. However, they could still look to upgrade in the middle of their defensive backfield at safety. One guy that could be available to them is Alabama Crimson Tide safety Ronnie Harrison.

Harrison leaves Alabama after three years a two-time College Football Playoff champion. Alabama won the national titles in both 2015 and 2017. The Crimson Tide lost the title bout back in 2016. So Harrison has had a ton of experience playing in big games when he was in the SEC.

At Alabama, Harrison had 174 total tackles (110 solo, 64 assists), 17 pass breakups, seven interceptions, 7.0 tackles for a loss of yardage, 3.5 quarterback sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. While at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Harrison measured 6-foot-3, 214 pounds and had a vertical jump of 34.0 inches.

Though outshined collegiately, as he was playing next to all-around superstar defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, Harrison was able to prove that he was worthy of a first-round pick in his three years in Tuscaloosa. Landing a potential defensive back playmaker at No. 25 in the first round would be ideal for the Titans organization.
