Fourth Round

You’re seeing a trend here, right? The Titans could very well go heavy on defense int eh 2018 NFL Draft. Though they have already addressed safety, the edge and linebacker with their first three picks, Tennessee could go with a defensive lineman at No. 125 in the fourth round by selecting Rasheem Green of the USC Trojans.

Green is 6-foot-5, 275 pounds. While he did not do any reps on the bench press in Indianapolis, he ran a 4.76 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, as well as a 7.24 3-cone. Green has the size to be a moveable piece along the Titans defensive line. He could be a pice Vrabel could love working with going forward.

In three years at USC, Green had 115 total tackles (48 solo, 67 assists), 20.0 tackles for a loss of yardage, 16.5 quarterback sacks, eight pass breakups, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Getting after the quarterback has been his forte, as Green got better at it each year he played in the Pac-12 at USC.

Though his numbers don’t jump of the sheet, the Titans have had good history in drafting defensive linemen in the middle rounds. Just look at the productivity they have gotten out of DaQuan Jones as a former fourth-round pick. While the Titans re-signed Jones, picking up Green at No. 125 could still be in play for Tennessee.
