FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 18, 2018
High Salary C
Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs HOU ($10,400): Towns has historically dominated the Rockets, but was held to 39.1 fantasy points in the Feb. 23 meeting. He had been over 60 fantasy points in the prior two meetings. His points and defensive numbers were down in the Feb. 23 game, but at least one of those will be back up in this one. Expect it to be the points. Towns will be around value in this one and has the highest ceiling of any center on Sunday. ****
DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs POR ($8,300): Jordan had 38.2 fantasy points against the Thunder on Friday. The Trail Blazers are on a back-to-back and rank 14th against the position in their last 15 games. I’m not a huge fan of Jordan on Sunday, but Clint Capela has been below value in six of eight back-to-back games and Al Horford is wildly inconsistent. At least you know Jordan is going to grab a bunch of rebounds. And if the Blazers are tired, he could get easy buckets. ***
High Value C
Greg Monroe, BOS at NO ($5,000): Monroe followed up his 31.5 fantasy point effort against the Wizards with 35 fantasy points against the Magic. Monroe typically gives productive minutes off the Celtics bench, chipping in with points, rebounds, and defense. He should get his usual 20 minutes and will likely end up around 20 fantasy points. And there’s always a chance he pushes 30 fantasy points. ***
Aron Baynes, BOS at NO ($4,000): Baynes starts at center for the Celtics. And that’s about where the positives end for the value centers behind Monroe. Not only does Baynes start, but he plays decent minutes on most nights. Problem is, he’s not much of a contributor. He’s been at 16 fantasy points in his last two games. He needs 17.7 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. Only take him if you can make up a lot of value elsewhere or you’re feeling lucky. *
