Florida State sets the Twitter world on fire after the Seminoles upset No. 1 Xavier in the NCAA Tournament.
The Florida State Seminoles are helping to send the message that just because you’re a top-seed doesn’t guarantee you a ticket to the Sweet 16. The Xavier Musketeers found that out the hard way on a Sunday that continues this year’s upset them.
It wasn’t quite the same downfall that their fellow Cincinnati rival, the Bearcats, experienced earlier in the day, but their loss to the No. 9 Seminoles was just as shocking. They allowed Florida State to score at will in the second half, and just like that, another number one seed went down for the count.
This parade of lower seed upsets has set the Twitter world on fire, and Florida State just added more gasoline to the flames. Don’t take our word for it, check out a sample of the delirium that is overtaking the Twitter universe after the Seminoles shocked the world.

Florida State ate that “W” like a man on a mission at Golden Corral.
Bad day for Cincinnati. Did the Reds lose their exhibition game, too? ... I mean, Xavier was a No. 1 seed and Cincinnati a No. 2. Epic failure against Florida State and Nevada. ...

It was not a good day for Cincinnati sports fans.

Yay Florida State! My bracket is still in action, baby!

Congrats Sandy, you’re one of the 200 people in the nation whose bracket is still intact.
Cincinnatians can thank Skyline Chili for cursing their teams by bringing this concoction into the world.
So close, yet so far.
Btw, Oklahoma State beat Florida State too...

But they would not have beaten Xavier, so there.
Next: This is madness we haven't seen in a while
Upsets are fun for the first couple rounds but please don’t make me watch Loyola, Florida State and Syracuse in a Final Four

Why not? That would be must-see-TV! On second thought? Yes, please don’t make this happen, Baby Basketball Jesus.
