The No. 7 Nevada Wolf Pack upset No. 2 Cincinnati on Sunday night to advance to the Sweet Sixteen, and Twitter was howling.

If you were wondering, the score in the eternal fight between canines and felines just gained another point in the dogs’ favor.

That’s because the Nevada Wolf Pack squeaked by the Cincinnati Bearcats 75-73 after sniffing around for an unlikely win throughout the game.

With 11 minutes left in the contest, the Wolf Pack were down 22 points, and their exit on the road that is the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament appeared to be on the horizon and approaching quickly.

But Nevada kept fighting to erase the deficit and hold on for the win.

Nevada’s first lead didn’t come until there were only 9.1 seconds remaining in the entire game. The entire game!

A lot of caps lock keys were abused in the process of documenting Nevada’s gutty victory:

If you needed another reason to love your new favorite team, the Nevada Wolf Pack, head coach Eric Musselman’s daughter, Mariah, interviewed him before his team took the court on Sunday, and it’s adorable:

She hit him with the tough questions, such as, “What’s harder — waking me up or going into overtime?”

Nevada even got the most special form of celebration after a win in sports —Titanic music:

Though the glory is great for a Cinderella team, March can be a cruel mistress. The No. 7 Wolf Pack will now meet another beloved underdog, the No. 11 Loyola Chicago Ramblers, in the Sweet Sixteen.

As the lower seed, the Ramblers will steal the Wolf Pack’s status as an underdog and possibly even their chance to advance to the Elite Eight on March 24.
