Real Madrid face Girona at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, March 18. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Real Madrid are third in La Liga but are unlikely to get any higher than that with 10 games remaining. Madrid are 15 points behind Barcelona and seven points behind Atletico Madrid. While Madrid can’t climb up the table they are also unlikely to fall out of a Champions League spot. On Sunday, Real host Girona at the Santiago Bernabeu. In their first season back in La Liga, Girona are seventh, battling for the final Europa League spot.

Real Madrid have won five of their last six games and advanced to the quarterfinals in Champions League. Real’s recent success can be attributed to Cristiano Ronaldo who has elevated his play over the past two months. Ronaldo has scored in seven of his last eight La Liga games and scored in both legs of the Champions League draw with Paris Saint-Germain. Since Feb. 10, Ronaldo has scored 13 goals in six games. Despite having what is considered a down season by his standard, Ronaldo has scored 33 goals in all competitions this season.

Girona have won four of their last five games, to move within one point of Villarreal for a Europa League spot. Outside of their loss to Barcelona, Girona have kept four clean sheets in their last five games. Cristhian Stuani leads Girona with 15 goals this season and has scored in the last two games. Stuani and Portu have been the focus of Girona’s attack, combining to score 26 of the club’s 40 goals. Portu has scored six goals in Girona’s 11 games since the start of 2018.
