Round 6 – Pick 203

Deadrin Senat, DT, South Florida

The Jaguars have the most talented defensive line in the NFL. Malik Jackson and Marcell Dareus are uber-talented defensive tackles that give offensive lines headaches. On passing down, Calais Campbell kicks inside and the wrecking of offenses continues. Depth along the defensive line is strong but another interior player could be use.

South Florida’s Deadrin Senat is an intriguing prospect. He turned down offers at bigger schools to play for the Bulls. He’s a big, gap penetrating defensive tackle that flashed some pass rushing ability. His compact frame makes him play with excellent leverage and pad level. Senat would give Jacksonville insurance for Dareus as a 1-technique and two-down run-stuffer early.

Round 7 – Pick 230

Damon Webb, S, Ohio State

Damon Webb watched three of his teammates drafted in the first round a year ago. He chose to return to Ohio State. He is not as talented as any of those three a year ago but can be a useful piece in the NFL.

Webb is a former cornerback who is a heads-up and opportunistic ball hawk. He could be a slot defender in certain scenarios. His success will most likely come on special teams at the next level. Webb’s 4.62 40 yard dash did not do him any favors and calls into questions his ability to play over the top coverage.

Round 7 – Pick 247

Martez Carter, RB, Grambling

Jacksonville has a trio of running backs in Leonard Fournette, T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant that they feel comfortable entering the season with. However, a year ago, the team carried four players at the position for game days. Martez Carter could be that fourth back for the Jagaurs.

The small-school product is under-sized but flashed potential as a playmaker. He could earn a roster spot with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and return kicks. He and Grant would offer Jacksonville interchangeable pieces as a pass catcher and returner.
