Please make the Nevada basketball twins the Kings of Twins Day Festival 2018.
Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio is the largest annual gathering of twins in the world, according to the Twins Day Festival website. It’s a three-day event full of lovely twin-related contests and Cody and Caleb Martin would honestly do so well. It is imperative that the Nevada men’s basketball forwards and March Madness comeback kings attend.
The 2018 theme of Twins Day is “Two-Player Mode” and twins are “encouraged to dress up as their favorite video or arcade game characters, or draw inspiration from classic card games, board games, role-playing games, or video game themed movies.” Sure, Twins Day doesn’t mention NBA 2K or IRL sports, but is not basketball a game? Caleb and Cody could also contend in the “Most Alike Males 17-26” contest.
There’s also a twins volleyball tournament. I bet the Martin twins are great at volleyball. Then, there’s a corn hole tournament. I’d put money on Caleb and Cody there too. The twins have already shown themselves to be really, really good at tournaments.
Not sure what exactly the 1 p.m. Talent Show entails but if there’s a hoop on the premises, Caleb and Cody could win with some really great dunks, or they could play one-on-one. That would be some good twin entertainment.
Most importantly, Caleb and Cody should also absolutely be the Kings of the 2018 Royal Court. The 2017 Kings, Scott and Nathan Hasbrook, enjoy traveling together and went backpacking through Europe. Caleb and Cody enjoy playing Division I NCAA basketball together, and went to the Sweet 16 together. I’m not saying that winning two tournament games, including one 22-point comeback, as underdogs is more impressive than backpacking through Europe, but that’s exactly what I’m saying.
Dear Twins Day and the greater community of Twinsburg, Ohio, please give Caleb and Cody sashes and scepters and honor their March Madness performances as noteworthy twins of 2018.
