(No. 9) Florida State vs (No. 4) Gonzaga

Florida State beat Michael Porter Jr. and Missouri in the first round, and then took down the No. 1 seed in their region Xavier. The sky has always been the limit for any Leonard Hamilton coached team, but this year they might be living up to the expectations. The funny thing is, their expectations weren’t that high this year.

Now they’ll face the No. 4-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs with a chance to reach their first Elite Eight since 1993. If you look at this game on paper this is about as evenly matched as you can get. Except on the defensive end. The Seminoles can lock you up with their length, and that might pose a seriously problem for Gonzaga.

This game is highly dependent on which FSU team shows up. Will the team that lost to Boston College and Wake Forest show up or will the team that closed out Xavier with an 18-4 run show up? I think the latter team shows up and due to their length will disrupt Gonzaga enough to send them to the Elite Eight.
