Ndamukong Suh scheduled to visit Raiders
The Oakland Raiders are yet to make a big splash this offseason, but that could change with Ndamukong Suh coming to visit the team on Wednesday.
Ndamukiong Suh is arguably the best player available in NFL free agency, and he is going to visit the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday. Suh is currently in California already, visiting the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday afternoon.
Suh was released last week by the Miami Dolphins, with the team looking to both change the culture of the locker room and shave salary. By releasing Suh, the Dolphins were able to save $3.9 million in 2018 (while taking on a whopping $22 million in dead money) before pocketing $15 million and $17.625 million in each of the two following campaigns.
At 31 years old, Suh remains one of the best in the game. Drafted second-overall by the Detroit Lions back in the 2010 NFL Draft, the former Nebraska Cornhuskers star has racked up five Pro Bowl berths and a matching number of All-Pro teams, including three of the First-Team variety.
For Oakland, signing Suh would be a boon to a defense that ranked 23rd in the league a year ago. The Raiders have Khalil Mack but not much else to speak about in proven talent on that side of the ball, so the addition would both be a critical and welcome one.

So what are the Raiders chances of landing him? Oakland is currently at $20.8 million in cap space, so the money is there (the Rams have $28 million). Still, if Los Angeles makes a hard push, it would be tough to turn down playing in the City of Angels on a defense with Aaron Donald, Lamarcus Joyner, Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters.
