Wondering how, where and when you can watch the premiere of Shadowhunters season 3? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
After two strong seasons, Freeform’s Shadowhunters will begin its third season on Tuesday night.
The series, which stems from “The Mortal Instruments” series of young adult books by Cassandra Clare, has been rather impressive so far — especially since the feature film was nothing short of a disaster.
Shadowhunters has been the prime example of how to properly take a book series and turn it into a television series. Sure, there are always going to be differences from the book, and, yes, Shadowhunters can be unbelievably cheesy, but in a time when massively popular YA book series like Eragon and Percy Jackson had some of the worst movies of all times, this series has done something right heading into season 3.
After a strong start to the beginning of season 2, ratings for the show quickly declined to something a bit more ordinary. While the first season never dropped below approximately 760,000 viewers, the second season dropped below that number in just the second episode and had a brief stint of up and downs before settling around 600,000 viewers an episode.
The good news is that this number will probably not get much lower in the third season, as I have a feeling this 600,000 number is about where the loyal weekly viewing numbers will stay for Shadowhunters. The target audience, including myself, tends to watch many shows online after they air and so the initial “live” ratings are always going to be a bit lower than they actually are.
Enough talk about ratings; here is how, where and when you can watch the premiere of the third season of Shadowhunters:
Date: Tuesday, March. 20
State Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Episode: “On Infernal Ground”
Channel: Freeform
Live Stream: Stream 1 | Stream 2
Next: 30 best Disney movies of all time
I expect big things from the third season of this great show, and so should you!
