Steph Curry is looking to return to the Golden State Warriors after missing five games. The Warriors star has been out since March 8.

After missing five games, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is looking to return to the court. The point guard is seeking a March 23 return against the Atlanta Hawks. Curry re-injured his right ankle on March 8 against the San Antonio Spurs. Curry has had ankle issues four times this season. Although the injuries have not been seen as serious, the Warriors have been cautious with not only Curry but Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. The goal? To have health in the playoffs for the long run. Injuries that plague them now, could plague them in May and the Warriors are aiming for their core players, especially Curry to be healthy for another title run. So, precaution was taken, according to ESPN.

"Curry tweaked his ankle on March 8 at home while playing the San Antonio Spurs. It was his fourth ankle injury of the season. He did not travel with the club for its three road contests. He has instead remained in the Bay Area with the team’s head performance therapist, Chelsea Lane, to receive around-the-clock treatment. The defending champs have been ultra-cautious in their handling of Curry. He has had a history of ankle issues and although his latest scare was not considered serious, the Warriors wanted to give him ample time to recover with the postseason around the corner."

In this five-game stretch without Curry, the Warriors have been 2-3. But as Durant has pointed out, Curry is the face of not only the team but their revolutionary system and style of play that has permeated basketball over the last few years. With playoff season approaching, the Warriors will lean on a healthy Curry to attempt a third title in four years.
