20. player. 50. . Edge. UTSA. Marcus Davenport

The Detroit Lions nearly made the playoffs for the second straight season, though they fell just short. They paid a ton of money to quarterback Matthew Stafford in the offseason last year, and he certainly played up to his contract. The Lions should be in the mix in a tough NFC North next season,  though they need to add talent to the defensive side of the ball.

One player they should target is Marcus Davenport from UTSA. Davenport is one of the better pass rushers in this draft class, and he should give quarterbacks fits at the next level. He is a rare blend of size and speed, and could play the defensive end, or outside linebacker in the NFL, and the Lions need help at both spots.

The team added a new head coach after the season, bringing in former New England defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. He is going to look to build up this defense in year one, and Davenport can help them do just that. Aaron Rodgers is back next season, and Minnesota is going to be tough, so the Lions needs to continue to add pieces this offseason if they hope to compete.
