2018 NFL Mock Draft: Jets trade up for Josh Rosen
By Brad Weiss

Derrius Guice. 31. player. 47. . Running Back. LSU
Not many people expected the New England Patriots to lose to a Nick Foles-led Philadelphia Eagles team this past February. However, Foles led his Eagles to a big victory over the Patriots, securing Philadelphia’s first Super Bowl win. As the Patriots head to next season, they have a lot of holes to fill, especially on offense.
The Patriots lost Dion Lewis this offseason, as he went over to the Tennessee Titans. To fill his role, the Patriots may want to look at a running back during the NFL Draft, and Derrius Guice is a fantastic talent out of LSU. Guice has the power to run through the tackles, but he also has that game-breaking speed that enables him to outrun the defense.
Guice is a first-round talent, and the Patriots have a need at runnnig back. New England may end up trading this pick, as they did last season, but they would find a gem in Guice if they go that route this late in round one. Tom Brady is not getting any younger, and they cannot afford to go into the 2018 season with their current roster of weapons on offense, so Guice makes sense here.
