2018 NFL Mock Draft: Jets trade up for Josh Rosen
By Brad Weiss
One team to really keep your eye on next season is the Chicago Bears, who have been making some nice moves this offseason. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky needed weapons in the passing game, so the team went out and brought in Allen Robinson from Jacksonville. With a serious two-headed monster in the backfield, the Bears could be legit on offense next season, which means they should turn their attention to the defense in round one.
Arguably the best overall linebacker in this draft class is Tremaine Edmunds, a young outside linebacker from Virginia Tech. Edmunds has incredible athletic ability, and would be the kind of linebacker the Bears have been missing for quite some time. Not only can he get after the quarterback, but he is a great tackler, and should be an elite player at the next level.
The NFC North is going to be tough next season, as the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions should all vie for a playoff spot. The Bears are doing a nice job putting themselves in that conversation, and Edmunds would be a key piece to that puzzle. Trubisky showed he can get the job done with little weapons last season, so do not sleep on the Bears just yet.
