Here’s how you can watch Krypton’s series premiere live online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.

The highly anticipated Krypton series premiere will air on Syfy tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. Central. You can catch the pilot episode live on SYFY.com. Will the show do for Superman’s legacy what Gotham has achieved for Batman? We’ll find out soon, although it’s important to mention the series takes place 200 years before the birth of Superman / Clark Kent.

Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe (Time After Time) as Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather and father of Jor-El, Superman’s biological father. Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones) plays Val-El, Seg-El’s grandfather on the series. The cast includes actors Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch) as Lyta Zod, Elliot Cowan (Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands) as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo (Wonder Woman) as Alura Zod, Rasmus Hardiker (Lead Balloon) as Kem, Wallis Day (The Royals) as Nyssa-Vex, and Aaron Pierre (Britannia) as Dev-Em, to name a couple.

The new series was created by David S. Goyer (Blade trilogy) and Damian Kindler (Stargate SG-1). Goyer previously co-wrote the story to The Dark Knight with Christopher Nolan to give you an idea of the talent behind Krypton’s debut. On the Superman side, Goyer wrote the screenplay to Man of Steel (co-wrote story with Christopher Nolan) and most recently co-wrote Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with Chris Terrio (Argo).

Krypton: “Pilot” episode description

"Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El, learns Krypton is in danger of being destroyed so that his future grandson will never be born."

It feels like a John Connor Terminator-esque storyline will be the center of Krypton’s series premiere and overall. In the trailer, we learn the planet of Krypton is in danger of being destroyed by time travelers from the future looking to make sure Clark Kent, Seg-El’s grandson and “greatest hero of the universe” is never born.
