High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LAL at NO ($5,500): The Pelicans are 25th against the position in their last 15 games. After missing value against the Heat, Caldwell-Pope was able to bounce back with 25.9 fantasy points against the Pacers. He needs 22.3 fantasy points to reach value on Thursday. The Pelicans give up a lot of threes and Caldwell-Pope can hit from deep. If the Pelicans are mentally and psychically slow on defense, the Lakers shooting guard will make them pay. ****

J.J. Redick, PHI at ORL ($4,700): Redick had 23.5 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Magic on Feb. 24. He needs 19.1 fantasy points to reach value on Thursday. He played only 18 minutes against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. You might be more inclined to go with Marco Belinelli if you think this one will be a blowout, but as long as the game is competitive, Redick will see the bulk of the minutes and easily get you 20 fantasy points given the matchup. ***

Eric Gordon, HOU vs DET ($4,700): If Chris Paul doesn’t play, that likely moves Gordon into the starting lineup. He barely hit value against the Trail Blazers, finishing with 19.8 fantasy points. His salary remains unchanged, so that number would put him at value once again. If Paul plays, Gordon is a risk based on recent games. But if Paul doesn’t play, Gordon should have a big game at a low cost. ****
